Can’t figure out what to wear for your holiday parties? I’ve got you covered.
It’s holiday party season!! Hooray!
The hardest part about holiday parties is figuring out what to wear. Don’t worry, girl — I’ve got you covered.
Check out these six holiday party outfits for every occasion
I was planning to photograph and share only one Christmas party look, but there are so many different kinds of holiday parties that all require different dress codes.
So I’ve come up with SIX holiday party outfits that you can copy directly or use as inspiration for any of your holiday parties this year.
Holiday Cocktail Glam
black lace dress from H&M (sold out, but SIMILAR HERE)
black patent leather pumps (more affordable version HERE)
red lip stain – color “Real Red”
If your holiday party calls for cocktail attire, you cannot go wrong with a little black dress. I scoured the internet and found a ton of gorgeous black dresses. Sadly the one that I bought sold out right after I received it — I’m so sorry!!! But I linked a ton of gorgeous ones below in the widget. With a pair of BLACK HEELS and a RED LIP, a LBD is the perfect glam outfit for a holiday party.
Details for this look and a few other favorite little black dresses and cocktail dresses here:
Festive Dressy
Burgundy Jumpsuit (runs big, size down!)
black patent leather pumps (more affordable version HERE)
old earrings, similar HERE
If your party has a “festive” dress code, it typically means dressed up, unless “casual festive” is specifically stated). For these kinds of events, a jumpsuit is a perfect option. THIS BURGUNDY COLORED JUMPSUIT is so comfortable, so flattering, so chic, and the color makes it feel festive without being over the top. (wearing a size small for reference, but it runs large!)
Details for this look and a few other favorite jumpsuits here:
A little bit of festive sparkle
sequin jacket (wearing size XS)
Green velvet pumps
black tee
dark wash jeans
If your holiday party is dressy casual, this is perfect for wearing jeans with a few festive pieces. I found these AMAZING GREEN VELVET HEELS, and paired them with this KILLER SEQUIN JACKET. If sequins are too much for you, you could do a velvet blazer with more neutral heels.
I layered them over a BLACK TEE and DARK WASH JEANS for a sparkly, festive, casual outfit.
Details for my outfit and a few other great holiday jackets are linked below!
A Pop of Plaid
lace top (UNDER $25, runs very big, size down)
Black Jeans (wearing size 4 — my favorite jeans!!)
Plaid pumps
If you just want a hint of holiday in your outfit, a pair of PLAID SHOES is a perfect pop without being over the top.
I paired these amazing PLAID HEELS with a LACE TOP and BLACK JEANS for a very simple and low key holiday look.

Cozy Christmas
Cream crew neck sweater
burgundy pleated midi skirt
old shoes, similar HERE
I love the look of a COZY SWEATER with a chic PLEATED SKIRT. It creates a contrast that’s just warm and pretty. This look is great for a winter concert, a church holiday party, dressed up family or friends holiday gathering.
If you wanted to dress this look down even more, swap out the heels for a pair of GLITTER SNEAKERS!
Shop this outfit and a few other pleated skirts below!
Holiday Casual
Red Plaid Shirt (Similar HERE under $30!)
Black Jeans
Green Wool Coat
Black loafers
And lastly, if you’re headed to a really casual holiday party, you can’t go wrong with a PLAID SHIRT and BLACK JEANS. It’s simple, it’s festive, and it’s comfortable. Then toss on a pair of chic BLACK LOAFERS.
And of course if you need just a little bit of red and green together, top it off with a GREEN WINTER COAT.
