my favorite beauty products I've discovered in the last year

I’m a total beauty junkie and love trying out new products all the time. There are plenty that don’t make the cut, but I wanted to share these five that are standing the test of time and am absolutely loving!

Flekk Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette.

I think the biggest issue most girls have with eyeshadow is that they just don’t know how to apply it, or which colors to use for their face. That’s totally me. That’s why Flekk Cosmetics is so genius — it’s like a paint by numbers for makeup.  Their palette packs come with five colors and four brushes, and a diagram showing where to apply each color, and which brush to use when applying. I get compliments every single time I wear mine, and I feel like my eyeshadow has never looked better. Also I love that it’s not a big palette with tons of crazy colors that I paid for but will never use.

I have the Fine and the Flirty palettes, and although I love both, my favorite is the Fine Palette because it’s a little more subtle and neutral for everyday wear.

Smashbox Be Legendary Matte Lipstick

I’m not a big lipstick wearer, but I do love a good neutral lip color to finish off my makeup. I just got this Smashbox Matte Lipstick in “Do No Wrong/Dusty Rose” and it’s a really good color that’s just slightly bolder than my natural lip color. The matte finish looks so good, and stays in place for hours!

This lipstick comes in about a million other colors too!

Got2B Glued Hair Gel.

I’ve been on the hunt for a new hair gel for my boys since our old favorite had been discontinued. I heard about this got2b gel from a friend and the first day that Fos came home from school and his hair still looked exactly like when I sent him, I was SOLD!

A little goes a long way, and it gets a little stiff if you use too much, but it washes right out with water and smells super yummy. If you have little boys, you need this stuff.

St. Tropez Gradual Tan Body Lotion.

During the colder months I’m not self tanning my entire body very often, but I want my face to have a healthy color. A little bit of this lotion gives me that hint of color I want and is so natural looking. I put it on in the morning before my makeup to have a good base color and it adds a dewey glow to my skin and keeps my skin super moisturized all day long. (tip: this lotion is pretty thick, so I cover my face with a thin layer of non-tinted moisturizer — this Colleen Rothschild one — first, and then apply the St. Tropez. Let it dry almost completely before starting your makeup).

Also, a little goes a long way with your face (I use the St. Tropez foam for my body), so this tube lasts for MONTHS.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer

I’ve been in the market for a good under eye concealer for a long time and discovered this one from It Cosmetics a few months ago. It’s nice and thick so it has amazing coverage, and it stays in place all day. I use a mix of the “Light” and “Tan” colors, and it creates the perfect dewy brightness around my eyes. Perfect for all you tired ladies out there!

You can find my full makeup routine in this post!

I’m always on the hunt for other good beauty products, so if you have a good one you know about, leave a comment and tell me!

I’m a new reader and i really love your blog, but it is so hard to read! right in the middle of a sentence the whole paragraph moves and an ad appears! or, ads cover the bottom of the page and continuously reload as I try to scroll down. it’s pretty frustrating and sometimes i give up before the end.
i just wanted you to be aware. otherwise, fun blog!

Just an FYI, but The Got2B hair glue is also perfect for dance recitals. We used it for my daughter for years. Her BUNHead never had the wispy pieces that other dancers had.

It is very important to maintain your natural beauty and not use excessive cosmetics. I’ve always been more impressed with naturalness. In addition, CLÉO clinic can help you improve your natural beauty

Each of us wants to feel attractive. For some, just one trip to a beauty salon is enough for this. I also found Coral Springs beauty salon for me, after which you feel really wonderful
