I like to share these kinds of posts every so often because I’m constantly trying new products and finding great products that are worth sharing. These are five beauty products I use basically every single day, and that I stock up on so I never run out.
- Suave Dry Shampoo. I’ve talked about this so many times, but it’s the truth. It’s my favorite of all time. This is the only way I can go for a full week without washing my hair. And I’m making it work extra hard for me now since I’ve started exercising regularly again. Trust me on this one, it’s the best.
- Neulash Eyelash Serum. I started using this serum on my lashes after San was born. I got eyelash extensions right before his delivery and wore them for about six weeks, but when they all fell out, I discovered that almost all of my natural lashes had fallen out too. It was as traumatic as it sounds. I couldn’t buy this serum stuff fast enough, and although it took about three to four weeks to see results, it worked! And by twelve weeks my eyelashes were twice as long as they’d ever been. Now I use it a few times a week to maintain my long lashes. (Note: I didn’t see any adverse effects, like some serums warn about, but it did make my eyes a little bit itchy for the first few weeks after I put it on. Also after my lashes got super long, I stopped using it altogether, but within about two months, my lashes were back to their original length. So if you want to maintain the length, you need to consistently use it).
- Tula Exfoliating Mask. I mentioned this product in my travel post. I love face masks for traveling because it gives me a boost of hydration after sitting on a plane for many hours, or with the drastic climate change. This one is my favorite because it has exfoliating beads that I use to slough off the top layer of my skin. It leaves my skin silky smooth and super hydrated. But even when I’m not traveling, it’s a great mask to do every week or so.
- St. Tropez Lotion and Foam. A few weeks ago I actually ran out of this sunless tanner, and I watched my skin turn back to it’s normal color. And honestly I felt like I looked ill, because I was so pale. This lotion and foam doesn’t make you drastically darker, but it gives a really healthy glow to your skin, which is exactly what I want. I use the foam for my body, and the lotion for my face, but when I travel I consolidate and just bring the lotion because it works well for body lotion too.
- L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara. I’ve tried so many mascaras, and this is currently my very favorite one. It has a really skinny wand, and typically I’ve found that thin wands are less conducive to creating full and long lashes…but somehow this one does. I always start with my mascara primer, and then do this over the top. And the best part? It’s under $10.
My next search is for the perfect under eye concealer. I love learning about new, amazing beauty products, so if you have a good recommendation, share in the comments!
Merrick, thank you for recommending the Suave dry shampoo. I saw it in one of your previous posts and decided to try it. I LOVE IT!! It is like NO other dry shampoo. I can’t believe it! I’ve tried so many different brands of dry shampoo from Sephora, as well as the beauty supply store. They all made me break out and made my scalp feel like it was full of residue and well, dirty. My hair still smelled dirty, as well. Suave dry shampoo leaves no residue on my scalp, no powdery feeling or look in my hair, makes my hair shiny and clean-looking, and takes care of any odor. It is a wonder they figured this out when no one else has. Being able to purchase this at the drugstore and it’s price point is an added bonus. Three cheers for Suave! So glad you found this. It has changed my mornings! 🙂
YES, YES, YES. I agree with you on every point! Game changer!!
I am SO tempted to try the eyelash serum. I’ve got such wimpy lashes. Did you have decent lashes to begin with (before extensions)? Does it make them fuller too or only longer?
I had good lashes before, but this made them MUCH stronger, longer, and fuller. It takes time, but the results are amazing. I’ve heard so many others with great results too — it’s worth every penny for me!
Have you tried Tarte Shape Tape yet for concealer?? I have really dark circles (hereditary plus two toddlers) and this is the best I’ve ever tried.
For light makeup days, I really like the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind-it’s not as full coverage but brightening so it helps a lot!
I haven’t tried that – I’ll check it out, thank you!!
I love NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach for under eye concealers! The Pixi one is a dupe for Benefit Erase Paste.
Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll definitely check those out.
Thank you for the recommendation!
Glad you love it too! The brand is After Market from Nordstrom Rack, but it’s old, so I can’t find it online anywhere. So sorry!
I love the neulash serum! I should try the mascara again it’s been so long.
I recommend New Real Conceal Liquid Concealer by Arbonne! I’m a tired mom of 2 little ones and feel like I’m always fighting the darkness under my eyes. I’ve tried NARS and Clinique airbrush. Real Conceal has a soft applicator wand. I like how it hides, brightens and doesn’t settle into lines. It’s my new fave and I’ve reordered 2x.
I’ve used Lancome’s effacernes under-eye concealer for years! I love it! I finish it off with Laura Mercier’s brightening powder to keep it smooth and prevent any smudging.
I can recommend an under eye concealer that was recommended to me and works like a charm!

Your dry shampoo tutorial on Instagram was a life saver! Thank you! Where is your top from?
The brand is After Market from Nordstrom Rack, but it’s old, so I can’t find it online anywhere. So sorry!
My favorite under eye concealer is the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer! It is so creamy and great coverage but natural looking – lately I have just been using that with a little powder and I feel safe to go out in public! 😀
Love that suave dry shampoo and the telescopic mascara! You’re right, for some reason the small wand on that one gives great, non-clumpy volume and length!
Under eye concealers- I have tried dozens for my bad dark circles, best ones I’ve found are Tarte Shape Tape (but only using a very small amount, otherwise it will look cakey) and bhcosmetics studio pro total coverage concealer- this is only $5 and is actually my new favorite. I’d say it works better than the shape tape for me.
Thanks for all the great tips. You linked to amazon for the lash serum. Is that who you buy it from. The reviews made me leary that it was a knockoff and not the real deal.
I’ve actually purchased both from Nordstrom and Amazon. I was dubious about the amazon one too, but when I bought it, it was the exact same thing. I’ve purchased it twice from there now, and haven’t had any issues and it works just the same. So I think it’s legit. I hope that helps!
I loved your dry shampoo advice on instastories! Do you have a YouTube tutorial too?
I don’t — would one be helpful?
Yes! At least for me. I still have trouble with getting my scalp all white from the dry shampoo but I remember you had some good tips that would help. Thanks!
