I created two cute fall outfits with six closet essentials that are on sale right now! All six pieces are so versatile so they’re easy to mix and match or dress up and down. Do you have all of them in your closet??
We’re still in the throes of summer heat, but we have to talk about Fall for one more minute, cause the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going on for two more weeks and all my fall favorites (boots, jackets, scarves, sweaters, etc) are on sale. It’s the perfect time to grab a leather jacket, some ankle boots, or a cardigan before they go back up to full price.
Tons of the sale items are appropriate for summer, so I’ve mostly shared those. But I found six pieces that are part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that are absolute fall closet essentials, so I braved the heat so I could style these two cute fall outfits for you to save and copy when the weather gets cooler!
Nordstrom is always my go-to for basics and closet essentials, because they carry my favorite brands, they always have free shipping and free returns, and their customer service is the best. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is their biggest sale of the year, with discounted items for the upcoming season, and the sale runs through Sunday, August 5th.
Six Fall Closet Essentials On Sale:
Ankle boots are a must have during the fall.
I love the look of a tall boot, but I find that an ANKLE BOOT is much more practical for my lifestyle. THIS PAIR are neutral, comfortable, and can easily be dressed up with a dress or dressed down with jeans.
A leather jacket is my fall outerwear of choice.
I’m always on the hunt for a good FAUX LEATHER JACKET, because they’re hard to come by! This one in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is fantastic quality, has a really good fit, and I love the quilting details on the arms. If you guys don’t own a leather jacket already, this is a great one and it’s under $50!!
A plaid shirt during the fall is a given.
A RED PLAID SHIRT is a piece you can wear all throughout fall and even up til Christmas! This one is so soft and comfy, and looks amazing with blue or black jeans, but also would look so good dressed up with faux leather leggings and heels (like I did HERE), or tucked into a skirt!
If you don’t have a good cardigan, get this one.
I tried on so many cardigans during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and THIS ONE FROM LEITH is my favorite. The rust color is perfect for fall, and the curved hemline makes it super flattering. It’s lightweight, but cozy, it comes in a bunch of colors, and it’s under $50!
I’m wearing size XS.
Jeans without distressing are perfect for chilly weather
Ok, jeans are an essential in my closet all year long, but a PAIR WITHOUT DISTRESSING is essential during the fall and winter when it’s too cold for big holes in your pants.
I found THIS PAIR FOR UNDER $60 and they’re fantastic quality, super flattering, and the only distressing they have is at the ankles with the raw hem.
They run a tiny bit small – I got my normal size, but I’d size up if you’re in between sizes!
Everyone needs a little bit of leopard print in the fall.
I don’t know why leopard print feels fall appropriate, but it does. Its rich, deep hues make any outfit feel cozy and elevated.
I found these LEOPARD FLATS for under $100 and they’re incredible quality, super flattering, and very comfortable. These would be a great shoe to add to your momiform, or to wear to the office!
You can check out the entire Nordstrom Anniversary Sale RIGHT HERE!
I love that rust colored cardigan! It’s gorgeous!

Interesting article about half-tucking shirts. I come from an older generation,, and let’s face it, every generation has had things it did, fashion-wise and otherwise, to Make it unique, and the older generation, whoever it was at the time, never really ‘got it.” Same then, same now (maybe)… I can see the half tuck /blouson, but it never really would have been needed without low-waist pants! MY generation (60s/70s) always had what you guys call :high waist” and yet- remove your pants and top and look in the mirror!.where is your waist? It’s usually way higher than your pants now, so high waist is often just AT the waist, and yes, sometimes it’s above. It’s fashion, I get it. But when you say “THESE ARE GOOD REASONS TO HALF TUCK YOUR SHIRT. The first reason you should front tuck your shirt is because it makes your legs look longer.” And you also say- to make you look thinner. Well,, hello- at-the-waist pants do all that without any tucks at all! SADLY,I never saw squatter, fatter-looking women, (even thin ones), when they wear low-waisted pants! But people want to “fit in” so they must go with the fashion, then someone found a way to counter the squatter look with the half-tuck! As well as high heels. If you want to avoid all that, just wear an at-the-waist pr of pants and voila, your legs look longer and your look thinner. No half-tuck needed–unless you want it! 🙂
You need to help children understand and learn their own values, while also helping them develop the financial habits they will need as adults. On top of this, you’ll also have to teach them about how money can work for them in the future. As a parent or guardian, it’s important to not only teach little ones about your values and beliefs but also listen to their concerns too—even if it means making adjustments to what you believe. I have just taught my boy about some suitable Alternatives to Decentraland for his betterment. Teaching kids about money is a lot of fun when you do it in a way that inspires them.
I want to always read your blogs. I love them. kEEP SHARING.
