For our last day in Amsterdam, my mom and I planned to rent bikes for the day and ride around in the country past windmills, sheep, geese, etc, so I went with a comfy casual denim on denim with sneakers look. A day of biking sounded dreamy, but we just ran out of time after a full morning at the Corrie Ten Boom house (which was totally worth the delay — that place was amazing). So instead, we traveled by train across the country side for the afternoon, basking in the gorgeous views and quaint houses tucked back in the trees, and then ended the evening back up in Amsterdam, sitting along the canal and watching the boats go by. It was the weekend, so there were tons of people cruising the canal, and we even got offered a ride by a bunch of young guys in a boat. We declined, but their second offer of cucumbers made for a good story.
