A few months ago I shared this post about different ways to wear your overalls. With Fall quickly approaching, I wanted to share 3 more ideas to wear them into fall.
Overalls (wearing “light stone”), Old Forever 21 Sweater (Similar Here, Here, and Here), Leather Ankle Boots, Tortoise Frame Glasses via Firmoo
First, with a big chunky sweater. I wore them in my last overalls post with a more fitted sweater, but don’t be afraid to try a thicker sweater. With a pair of skinny overalls, it creates a really fun and cozy look.
Overalls (wearing “light stone”), Old J.Crew Plaid (Similar Here and Here), Black Velvet Loafers
Second, try with plaid. I tried on a few of my plaid shirts before I found one that didn’t read “farmer,” but this dark green and blue one was the perfect match. Choose ones that are a more subtle plaid, and a good contrast to the wash of your denim. If your overalls are a dark wash, choose a lighter plaid. And vise versa for lighter wash overalls like mine.
Overalls (wearing “light stone”), Old Cardigan (Almost Identical Here), Black Tee, Leather Ankle Boots
Third, layer a cardigan over the top. I went with a chunky, waterfall front cardigan, and it creates a cozy, bundled look. I wore a plain black tee underneath, but you could do stripes or another small pattern to create a little pop of pattern.
There are lots of overalls out there – I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites below!
