I did a full Target try-on recently and I was honestly surprised by how good some of this stuff was. Not “good for Target” just good.
I’m going to show you the pieces that passed my test: things that look expensive, feel expensive, and are absolutely not expensive. These are the ones worth grabbing.
The $28 Jeans That Broke the Internet
The Universal Thread Wide Leg Jeans in white. They’re $28, and they have the structure and fit of jeans that cost three times as much. I’ve been wearing these constantly, and I’ve linked them more than almost anything else this season. If you only grab one thing from this post, make it these.
Where to wear: Literally everywhere, brunch, work, date night, errands!

NORDSTROM TOP | WHITE TARGET JEANS | SIMILAR KITTEN HEELS
The $25 Ruffle Blouse You’ll Wear All Summer
The Universal Thread Ruffle Short Sleeve Blouse. It comes in green, which I love, but it’s also available in other colors. The ruffle detail makes it feel like it came from a boutique, not a big box store. Tuck it into the wide leg jeans above and you have a complete look for under $55.
Where to wear: Brunch, baby shower, spring event, lunch date, work
TARGET TOP | WHITE TARGET JEANS | MERRICK’S WOVEN FLATS | KRISTY’S HEELED SANDALS
The $25 Dress That Actually Works
The A New Day Tie-Front Mini Dress. This is the one I want you to try even if dresses feel like a lot. The tie front gives it shape, the length is flattering, and the red is just really fun for spring. Pair with sandals and you’re done.
Where to wear: Date night, girls night, weekend lunch, casual dinner

The $30 Bermuda Shorts That Are Worth It
I know “Bermuda shorts” sounds very 2005, and I understand the skepticism. But this silhouette is back, it works, and the $30 price makes it a totally low-risk try. These are the Universal Thread Mid-Rise Bermuda Jeans Shorts, and they pair with everything from a white tee to a flowy top.
Where to wear: Errands, weekend, school pickup, casual summer events

The $25 Active Shorts That Aren’t Just for the Gym
The All In Motion High-Rise Shorts. They come in a bunch of colors including a really good red. I wear these for actual workouts but also just around the house and on quick errand runs because they’re that comfortable. They look intentional, not sloppy.
Where to wear: Workouts, errands, sporting events, casual summer days
This is one of my favorites because proving that looking put-together doesn’t require a big budget is something I genuinely believe in. Target gets a lot of things right this season. These are the ones I’d tell a friend about!
