When I was a little kid, I loved the idea of sunglasses but I kind of hated wearing them. They were always falling off my face, or giving me headaches, or making it hard for me to see. I couldn’t figure out why every single adult always wore sunglasses….until I became an adult. And really that’s all I have to say, right? Because you all know exactly what I mean. Doing anything outside without protection for your eyes is pretty much the worst.
Now sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories because I obviously want to protect my eyes, but also because there are just so many great styles out there.
Sometimes I go for classic styles, like the all black Ray-Ban’s I’m wearing above which pair perfectly with a classic denim and leather jacket look. But also during the summer I love wearing fun and bright colored sunglasses because they add a fresh and playful vibe to my look. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites, both timeless and bold. I’m especially loving these pink lenses — a fun twist on a classic style! I’m also obsessed with the clear framed glasses right now, so I was instantly drawn to this pair. I bought my first pair of sunglasses in 9 years last summer and I was like “why has it taken me 9 years to replace the ones I broke in 9th grade!” They’re total game changers in adulthood!

Hi, for someone that is a devote Mormon and quite particular about being modest, you wear your jeans very tight – doesn’t quite match what you are preaching. Disappointing.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with her jeans! In my opinion, pointing fingers at someone is just as disappointing. Merrick is an incredible example of modesty- I find her style so inspiring!
By the way – LOVE your hair like this!
Hmmm not sure that Merrick purports to be preaching anything. Rather she exemplifies class, integrity and modesty in all of her clothing choices and I, for one, am proud of her for always putting her modesty first. It shows! #actionsspeaklouderthanwords
