My art show went up in Maestro’s last night. My house looks a little bare with no paintings scattered all over the living room, dining room and kitchen floor, but trust me…they look much better up on the cafe walls.
If you’re in Provo any time during the next two months (until December 31st) head over to Maestro’s Gelato Cafe on Center St (next to Los Hermanos). While you’re there, make sure you grab some of their gelato, crepes, or gourmet hot chocolate — to die for.

We hope we’ll be able to get to Provo some time while they are still up. Hopefully we’ll get to see them too!!!!!

P.S. I’m butting in again. This is none of my business, and I don’t expect an answer. I’ll pass this along in case you hadn’t thought of it.
Do you have your art insured? I’m not quite sure how that works. Maybe it is covered in a contract with the shop where it is displayed? Or, maybe it’s covered in your renter’s insurance or homeowner’s policy? Or, maybe it is covered by a special short term policy? Not only would you want fire insurance but also theft, vandalism, and damage coverage.
I know that the art itself can’t be replaced with money, but at least you would be compensated for your time and effort.
The reason why I mention this is because a few years ago a friend of mine had a studio and gallery in a building in downtown Lewiston. The building burned, and she lost everything – from fire, water, and/or smoke damage. She didn’t have any insurance, and the building owner didn’t have to cover her loss. It devastated her mentally as well as financially.
We all hope that never happens to you, but I guess it never hurts to be prepared.
