Philip and I try to do a date night at least once a month. On the other weekends throughout the month we typically go out for a family date, but we have an amazing babysitter and she’ll come over so we can get out for a few hours.
Years ago, I used to order a pizza for the kids and the babysitter when we went on date night, but having it delivered always made it expensive, so a few years ago I decided that on date nights my kids would always have mac and cheese. It’s easy for any babysitter to make, my kids love it, and it’s inexpensive.
I always have a stash of KRAFT Macaroni and Cheese in my pantry for date nights.
So guess how excited I was when KRAFT wanted to partner to share their brand new Macaroni and Cheese Cauliflower? So excited. Each serving has ¼ cup of veggies, but it looks and tastes exactly the same. The fact that I can feed my kids a classic favorite but also sneak in some veggies is a huge win in my book.
To be honest I was a little nervous that adding veggies into the recipe would change the taste or the texture slightly and my sometimes picky children would turn their noses up at it. But it looks and tastes just like the original, they gobbled it all up and begged for more the next day! MOM WIN.
I also love that it has no artificial flavors, preservatives, or dyes. Serve it up with some fresh cut fruit and you can feel good about what you’re feeding the kids, even with a quick and easy dinner made by the babysitter.
