Thank you American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie for sponsoring this post. While this was a sponsored opportunity from AEO (and Aerie), all content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Everyone needs a pair of black jeans in their closet.
With the start of fall, I’ve been on the hunt for a really good pair of black jeans. They’re a staple in my closet at this time of year, and I think every woman should own a pair!
I got a pair of black jeans last fall, and after a year of wear the knee holes have ripped wide open. So I’ve been looking for a good quality pair without distressing…and I found THE PERFECT PAIR.
Seriously. They’re so good.
Here are a few reasons I love these black jeans:
- They’re insanely comfortable because they’re actually jeggings, so they have incredible stretch.
- With a price point under $50, you can’t be mad about that.
- The fit is incredible, and is super flattering
- They come in three lengths (short, regular, long) so they work for everyone. I’m 5’6″ and wearing the regular length.
- They’re a true black (on the website they look a little more gray, but they’re not) and after several washes I can tell they won’t fade.
- They’re listed as a high rise, but it’s more of a mid rise. They hit about 1″ below my belly button.
Over the last two years I’ve started shopping at American Eagle Outfitters again. I shopped there all through high school, but re-discovered them a couple years ago and realized they’d grown up right along with me. They still have the same youthful vibe, but with sophistication and quality.
They have so many pieces that I love, but I especially love their jeans — I own probably 6 pairs of jeans from there, and their jeggings are my absolute favorite. Comfortable, flattering, and affordable.
I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried girlfriend jeans.
I also tried out another pair of jeans from American Eagle Outfitters — their Tomgirl jeans. I’m always hesitant about girlfriend and boyfriend jeans because they can sometimes be unflattering. But I tried this pair and I loved them!
The fit of these jeans is a little more fitted throughout the thigh, which I think is more flattering, and I love the slight wide leg and distressed crop.
I’m wearing a size 4 in these jeans, and I’m a typical size 26.
The soft and sexy line is full of pieces you’ll want to wear and sleep in and wear again.
I also wanted to tell you about Aerie’s soft and sexy line. This line has been around for a while, but I’d never purchased anything from it.
Holy cow, I was blown away by how seriously soft the pieces were. The kind of lightweight, comfortable pieces you wear for the day and then sleep in. And then maybe wear the next day.
I got this easy little ribbed black henley, and a cute baseball tee.
If you only get one piece from this collection, get the black henley, cause I’ve been wearing it with everything. Tucked into a skirt, with black jeans, with white jeans, with joggers…you could even wear it with dress pants for work.
Here’s the recap.
American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie are crushing it right now, and you absolutely should check out their jeggings line and the soft and sexy line.

it’s interesting to me they are having you advertise For them. They definitely market towards teEns, and the Way their clothes fit feels like its for teens too. I usually wear a siZe 4, but for Them i take a 6, and then it fits in the hips but massively gaps in the waist. Not for girls with curVes or moms whose hips stayed a bit spread after Birth. Ither than my very thin straight up and down friends, none of my mom fRiends like the fit of ae.
I love AE jeggings, I’ve been wearing them for years now; they really hold up and are so flattering. Much of the AE clothing is marketed towards younger women, but its’ all how you wear/style the items. I’m in my 40s and i have never felt that the jeggings weren’t appropriate for me to wear. I was actually just looking to buy a new pair of black jeggings (everything is on sale right now) but was disappointed that the “HECKYES” promo code was already expired, just one day after this post. ;( I’m still buying the jeggings, however!
I absolutely love Aerie! Their clothing is super soft, and if you take good care of it, it will last for a couple of years at least. I do recommend gentle care, though, probably because of how soft their clothing is. Their bras are my absolute favorite! I have loved wearing them through pregnancy and breastfeeding, too.
I have read through some similar topics! However, your post has given me a very special impression, unlike other posts. I hope you continue to have valuable articles like this or more to share with everyone!

I was also disappointed that the code was expired. I wish the duration of the code would have been given 🙁
Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep up the code, hoping next time I wouldn’t be slow
