In the last week, my blog traffic has suddenly skyrocketed, thanks to the help of Pinterest and a certain little refashion post that’s been making the rounds. Very exciting.

So if you’re new around these parts, welcome.  Glad you’re here. Hope you’ll stay. There are many more projects in the works, so stay tuned!

Along with all this new traffic, I’m also getting many new commenters. While this is very exciting and fun, it’s also frustrating because I like to respond individually to each comment via email, and so, so, so many of you new commenters do not have your email hooked up to your blogger profile.

[Actually, many of you old commenters don’t either, but I’ve been able to track down your emails through your blogs, or facebook, or some of you are my old friends or family members so I already have your email address — but that doesn’t excuse you from following this tutorial and fixing it now].

So when I go to reply to your very nice comment to answer your very kind questions, it looks like this:

See? That <noreply-comment@blogger.com> means your email address is not hooked up to the blogger profile you’re using to comment, and that means I can’t reply. So, would you be so kind as to check your
blogger profile right now and see if your email address is viewable? It
literally takes five seconds.

Just go to your blogger profile and click the Edit Profile button:

Then click the little box that says “Show my email address.”

And that’s it! Now we can be friends and I don’t have to hunt down your email address, or type it in myself (ahem, ahem), or just let your very nice comment/question float around in the void forever.

Janssen, Grace, and Kayla also blogged about this very subject many moons ago, so if after all those prompts you still haven’t done it, just do it now. Please. For my sanity.

I linked mine up after Janssen posted about it way back when and ever since… I have LOVED getting responses on my comments on your blog – it's so fun!!

  4. This seems like as good of a time as any to say hello and introduce myself in return! My name is Gretchen and I'm living in Texas (not too far from your sister, who graciously lets me borrow her books) and I think your blog is fantastic. (As is your art. Seriously. I'm a huge fan.) Anyhow, just wanted to say hi!

Like the previous poster, I've been reading for a little while now and found you through Janssen. My email is linked up, but my blog is private. Janssen can vouch that I'm a really person, or let me know if you want an invite.

I think your blog is fabulous and you are so very talented! Keep the posts coming!
