There’s no one more fun to buy gifts for than kids! They get so excited for every little thing, and it makes Christmas magical. This list is for younger – older kids. If you need ideas for teens and tweens, hit the link at the bottom of this post.

Building Toys for Kids

  • LEGO BRICKS
    • If you want a gift that sparks the imagination, this is it. My kids play and build with LEGO bricks for hours at a time. I swear, they’re the only toy I’ll buy them anymore.
  • WOODEN BLOCKS
    • Wooden blocks are toys that have staying power. They will be used to stack when they’re little, build towers when they’re toddlers, and build castles and forts when they’re older. Perfect gift idea for those young kids who can use them for years to come.
  • DUPLO BRICKS
    • DUPLO bricks are the same as LEGO, just bigger. They’re designed for tiny toddlers, but my big boys still build with them constantly.
  • MAGNATILES.
  • FISHER PRICE WOODE BUILDERS
    • This is great for smaller hands. They can design their own building, towns, and construction sites. The pieces are pretty simple to put together.

Craft and Learning Toys for Kids

  • MAGNETIC LETTERS.
    • In the Educational Activities for My Kids post I did a few years ago, I shared these magnetic letters. They make a great gift because they’re colorful and fun to stick on the fridge, but also great for teaching!
  • CAMP CASTLE PLAYMATS.
    • I love a good playmat for kids, and these ones are like those old city ones, but they’re made of vinyl so they’re easy to wipe clean! They also come in small placemat sizes too so you can travel with them or have them at the table!
  • PUZZLES.
  • WATER MAT
    • This fun indoor mat would be perfect for rainy days. It is mess-free with just water needed for your kids to color and create all over it.
  • GEOSTIX
    • These were highly recommended by my followers. It helps kids follow patterns and start basic coding skills!
  • STRAW CONSTRUCTORS
    • Let your kid’s imagination and STEM skills fun wild with this fun building set. Interlocking tubes will teach them basic engineering skills.
