For the last eight years, we’ve lived in places with very warm fall weather. For all of you who live in similar climates, here are some fall outfit ideas for warm weather.

We have to get creative with fall outfit ideas for warm weather

Before we moved to Texas, we lived in Southern California for just over six years. Although we were spoiled with nearly perfect weather year round, the warmest time of the year was definitely the fall. So I always had to come up with fall outfit ideas for warm weather, because the weather didn’t get crisp until November, or even December.

In Texas, we definitely get more seasons than in California, but it’s still pretty warm until November.

If you live in a warm climate, let me show you some fall hot weather outfits

I know many of you are in the same boat, so if you live somewhere with warm fall weather, here are some fall hot weather outfits for you to try.

Fall outfit ideas for warm weather

1. A dress with a lightweight layer around your waist

A dress always keeps you more cool in the fall! Tie a lightweight layer around your waist, a button down shirt or long sleeve tee.

2. Wear plaid!

Plaid is a great fall option, and although flannel plaid is warm, there are lightweight cotton shirts that come in plaid so you can get the fall look without the heat.

3. Try a suede skirt

I love suede in the fall, but can be hot! Instead of a suede jacket, try a suede skirt. You can wear it with a tee and cute flats and stay cool while looking ready for fall.

4. A denim dress is perfect for fall

Denim dresses are perfect for fall, and will keep you feeling cool. Toss on a pair of flats or ankle boots so it feels more fall appropriate.

5. Wear fall florals

For church, weddings, baby showers, or other events you might attend this season while it’s still warm, try a dress in a fall floral.

6. Combine fall colors

There’s nothing that says fall like the beautiful fall colors of nature. Pair burgundy, reds and oranges, golds or dark greens together to make a fall outfit with lightweight pieces.

If you live in a warm weather climate, I hope this helps you put together some fall outfits!
