11 Random Facts
. . . . . . . . .

Audrey did this the other day, and tagged me. I’m not usually one to do these types of things, but I tell you random tidbits about my life all the time…so why not eleven today.

1. My right foot is half a size bigger than my left foot. I got it from my dad, and I’ve sadly passed it along to Peanut.

2. I have a fairly deep voice for a woman, and I really love it.

3. I was homeschooled from first grade until eighth grade, and then
attended public school throughout high school. I don’t generally mention
this, just because of the negative stereotype on homeschoolers, but I
really did enjoy being homeschooled (although I am really glad I went to
a public school for high school).

4. I’m the second of five kids. Janssen is my older sister, Landen is my little sister, my little brother Crawford is sixteen, and my littlest brother, Shepard, passed away from brain cancer twelve years ago (he would be fifteen next month).

the four of us in 2009 (pathetically, the most recent picture we have of JUST the four of us)

5. A
few years ago I had my first ever flying dream, and since then I have
flown in nearly every dream that I remember. But it’s always like I’m swimming
through the air, and it’s really hard work.

6. I grew up traveling a lot, as did Philip, so both of us love to travel. If we don’t go somewhere at least every two or three months (even if it’s just a quick trip to visit family), we both start getting really antsy.

7.  I have a very short attention span, but I try really hard to not make it obvious.

8.  I was a figure skater for about seven years during middle school, high
school, and my first year of college. I never did it competitively, but
it was a fun way to exercise and spend time with my little sister, who did it with me.

9.  I’ve always loved kids, but that
doesn’t necessarily mean I want an enormous family. I just really like
being around those little people.

10. I really, really love roller coasters.

11. There are very, very few things in this world that I have
a strong opinion about. In fact, pretty much the only thing I have a
really strong opinion about is not being opinionated 🙂

 Happy Wednesday!

  2. Erica says:

Whoa – 1, 2, 7, and 10 could verbatim be random facts about me. Except for the Peanut part because I don't have a peanut. 🙂

  3. Ashlee :) says:

I swoon over that yellow cardigan every time I come here. It's going on my must-have list! It looks really great with those blue pants.

  4. TheTinyHeart says:

Loving the yellow and blue combo! I have the same Old Navy top, but in green with polka dots 🙂

  5. Thank you for sharing these facts. I am sorry to hear about your brother. I have a question–how hard is it to buy shoes with one foot half a size bigger? Just curious. Love this yellow top very much!

  6. christine says:

Love learning about other bloggers. I love this outfit – simple and chic!

  7. LatteLove says:

fun to read this – and a few unexpected similarities!

My left foot is a half size bigger than my right! I always joke about trying to find someone the opposite to buy shoes with and swap one out.

Also, I was home-schooled from 3rd grade through high school! There are things I loved and didn't like about it.

    p.s. cute top!

  8. I loved your facts – I feel like I know you better already!

You are gorgeous in these pictures! I love the blue and yellows together.

  9. Kayla says:

aw, i love this! it's funny, because as good of friends as we are, i didn't know a few of these! you LOVE roller coasters?! never woulda guessed. And your flying dream? ha! that cracks me up. 🙂

  10. Janssen says:

Ridiculous that that's the most recent picture. Did we not take one of us four at the wedding?

  11. haha i love your #11! also loving the yellow your wearing. you can never go wrong with yellow. 🙂

p.s. i realized i haven't had my email connected to my blogger profile this whole time?!?! shame on me. i think i fixed it…let me know if it works. 🙂

  12. Britty says:

I almost bought that top at ON! of course, it looked terrible on me, so…. bummer. However, you of course look darling. Love these "11 things" posts; even though blogger chain stuff can get annoying this one has been really fun 🙂 You and I have a lot in common!

  13. MiniMeStyle says:

Great outfit, and I love the 11 tidbits! We have a couple things in common, too. I also have a pretty low voice for a woman, to the extent that people who have only talked to me on the phone are surprised at how little and, well, unmanly I am when they meet me in person! I figured skated for a few years too (we lived in ND at the time, and it was one of the only things to do!) I loved it and always secretly wanted to be an olympic skater.

And I'm so sorry about your younger brother.

  14. I am a fairly recent follower, as in only since the beginning of this year, so it was fun for me to read these and "get to know you" better. I am sorry to hear about your brother.
I LOLed about your flying dream – I have been having flying dreams as long as I can remember but most of the time it is exactly how you described, like swimming in the air and it is hard! I always remember them, too!

  15. Miriam says:

Hey, I have a low voice and also am not very opinionated…think we're related?

  16. Emily Kate says:

I like the new header! (Or how new is it? I'm always reading from google reader!) I've discussed homeschooling with Janssen before but I'm curious what your plans are. Do you think you'll homeschool Peanut (+ future kids?)

  17. Rachel says:

Love how you paired the two shades of yellow. You look fabulous!

  18. Mimi says:

I too have a right foot that is slightly bigger than my left. It is so nice to know that i'm not alone in the world! 🙂

  19. Love the outfit, as always. And I love that I already knew about half of these things about you. It makes me feel like we're more than just blog and Facebook friends…because we are haha

  20. First. You look amazing in yellow. Your hair color and that cardi…AH-mazing!
Second. I know you've already guest-posted for me once before, but if you'd be interested in doing so again, I'd love to feature your color-block tee tutorial. Loved it! If you want, you could send the HTML code for the post to skclemens1 at comcast dot net. I'd love to feature you again. =)

    a) I SO agree with you on the traveling. We always have to have something on the docket. b) That is SO SO cool that you figure skated. I always wanted to, but it was a little harder growing up in Alabama. c) I remember being a little surprised by your voice when I met you, but totally loving it. You probably have such a great singing voice!

  22. Yessss! Love this outfit! I'm so curious to hear your voice now haha.

  23. mawi says:

I love, love all your outfits!

  24. yours truly says:

New follower! I was home schooled too until 8th grade and I agree that we do have a bad rep. Love the outfits you post on here!
