You know those days that just go really well, where you have it planned out in your head and then it works out? Yesterday was one of those days. With the baby’s poor sleeping habits over the last two or three (who am I kidding, six or seven) months, my exercise habits have gone down the drain. Cause dragging myself out of bed in the morning to work out after an interrupted night is pretty much the laaaast thing that’s going to happen. But now that he’s consistently sleeping a solid twelve hours every night, I’m ready to get back into a good routine. And with school starting this week, it’s time for a new schedule and new resolutions. Let me tell you, I love a new schedule.
So yesterday I woke up at 6:50am (that’s practically three in the morning for my sleep-loving self), exercised, showered, and was dressed and ready for the day before the kids woke up. Plus, I did a little school with Peanut during the day (a few workbooks, song singing and reading out loud), ran errands, ate healthily, got a bit of work done, did all the laundry and ironing, made dinner, and spent some time with Philip.
If I’m being realistic, I’ll be making new schedules and resolutions next Monday because by Wednesday I’ll be eating half a bag of chocolate chips during the day and sleeping in until 8:30, but I just have to revel in these good days where I feel productive, feel like a good mom/wife/woman, AND have a good hair day. It’s the little things, you know? 🙂

Ooo…. The loafers! Love them! And yay for productive days!
Thanks! Glad we're both proud owners of loafers now 🙂
Lol, if i had a $1 for every time I've eaten half a bag of chocolate chips (Gharardelli, no less), I'd probably be rich rather than super chunky (granted, I'm 9 months pregnant, but let's just say I'm teetering over the edge of the "healthy" 25-35 weight range gain). 🙂
Love days that work out according to schedule!
Haha I'd be rich too!! 🙂
WOW – your day puts mine to shame! Love this easy casual look – those loafers are gorgeous!!

Thanks, Kimberly! And recognize that shirt? Totally bought it after seeing you wear yours!
Ah- I can so relate. One day you save the world- the next day its the chocolate chips. We have been trying to get on the same schedule. Good luck! Love the whole look- the cuff is perfect with it!
Thanks! I think the cuff totally completed the look! Thanks again for such a fun accessory!
You. are. adorable. Nuff said.

can you please share where you got your glasses from?
They're from Firmoo.com. They're one of the wayfarer styles (but they're old, so these specific ones aren't carried anymore, I don't think).
Haha…You are more productive and healthy than I am, and I have zero kids. So you should be proud. You should also be proud of how adorable this outfit is.

I love your shoes and your glasses and your bangs pinned like that is uber cute. Makes me wish I had long hair. It is the little things and you make it look easy even when you say it's difficult (:
LOVE this look! So proud of you for killing it yesterday!
You are the cutest!! I absolutely love everything about this look, especially those killer shoes!

We are so Mom's daughters, aren't we? Schedule-lovers to the core.
And I had that same kind of Monday yesterday – all the laundry, went running, played with my girls, made dinner, went to bed on time, and churned out multiple posts. Go us!
Yes, every time I make a new schedule I think of Mom.
Glad you had a productive day too!!
So, what was the trick to baby sleeping 12 hours? Natural or did you help it happen?
Natural…we tried crying it out about 2 months ago and it just didn't work for him. He would never fall back asleep, and even if he did he would be so worked up that he'd wake up screaming again within 15 or 20 minutes. So I just nursed him right before I went to bed (around 11:30) and then he would usually make it til the morning (although not every night). But then after a month or two of doing that he finally dropped that and I just feed him before bed at 8 and then he doesn't wake up til the next morning. It's so different for every kid, i think (we made my first cry it out at 6 months and he's slept through the night since). So just do what feels best for your baby! Good luck!
Thank you. It is true they are each so different. I did the same with my first son, cry it out at six months and he slept through the night after that. But this little guy sucks his thumb and cry it out doesn't work in that situation because he just cries in between sucking. He is still young, but I'm also so tired 🙂 I shouldn't complain because its not that bad. Thanks for sharing your experience.
It's nice that you had a chance to get that all done and hopefully you will be able to stick to that routine. I tried that with my son and no matter how early i woke up the bugger always managed to interrupt my workout. NOw i go to bootcamp and that helps. Great outfit by the way.

Those days are the best days. They make up for the exact opposite kind of days. And stop working out! You are going to disappear of you do. And I wouldt be able to live without you.
That's fantastic you were so productive!!! I love those days. Without kids they're a bit easier, so kudos to you for making it happen!
And you should also know you look amazing! Love the outfit and the glasses!
So next time your feeling a bit 'o shame for eating the chocolate chips after exercising, go Google "drops of awesome" and enjoy a good read. Helps you feel better about not always doing everything just the right way or feeling like a slacker mom. Good gospel perspective. Thanks for your inspiration! If I didn't have an early doctor appointment tomorrow, I might actually run…..
Forever 21 needs some new models and stylists. I go to their site and don't see much I like, but then I see you wearing one of their shirts and I want it! Your style is much more practical. They need to hire you 🙂
I need those loafers – so adorable! Congrats on being so productive today. I am so not a morning person and working in the morning is mission impossible.
