Just thought I’d take a quick break from Homemade Christmas posts to say Happy New Year! The most memorable things at the end of each year are the trips we take, and this year was no different.

At the beginning of the year we took a day trip to Hollywood….

Followed by a fun cruise with great friends

A month or so later we headed to Las Vegas to visit Hoover Dam and attend Brit and Michael’s wedding:

In June, we took a long weekend trip to Sedona and Phoenix with Philip’s parents (in which I ate the best steak of my life…definitely worth mentioning):

The summer brought our famous family reunion. Lest you’ve forgotten, let me remind you.

Summer also brought some great news for our little family:

In the fall we took a trip back east where we announced this exciting news to Deborah and Sam in Philadelphia…
and Janssen and Bart in Boston…

October brought everyone together again for Dad’s 51st birthday and Landen’s production of Frankenstein:

Thanksgiving was a thrilling time when we spent time with both families (although we neglected to take any photos with my side of the family), and we found out that our little baby was a boy!

And finally, December brought a little trip down to Las Vegas to once again spend time with both of the families (although this time we neglected to take photos with Philip’s side of the family):

What a great year it’s been! And we’re even more excited for 2010 when our little dude will join our family!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from us…
