When I announced my pregnancy, one of my teachers at The Bridge suggested I start documenting my pregnancy through paintings — joys, fears, preparation, etc.
At first I had NO CLUE how I was going to do this, but once I started sketching things out and doing a little research, the ideas starting flowing so fast I could barely keep them straight.
So here is the first of probably 6-8 pregnancy paintings that I will be doing over the next few months before Little Dude arrives. After that I’ll move on to Mother and Child theme paintings…more exciting stuff!
Wow, love this. Perfect title also. Pregnancy, although exciting, isn't always a walk through dreamland. I love the expression on her face.
What a LOVELY model 🙂
Seriously, that is just beautiful.
What a neat idea – make sure and show them all here!
What a beautiful painting. You are SO talented.
I love this Merrick!
I love this idea! And isn't it handy that you have the ability to do this yourself. Can't wait to see the rest of them!
That's AMAZING Merrick. Seriously. You make me want to be an artist! Unfortunately…that's not happening. I guess the world needs nurses for when the artists get sick (and have babies), right? Beautiful my dear!
What the heck!?! This is beyond words- so amazing, Merrick.
This is so perfect! You are such a fantastic artist. And I hope I'm cute like you when my belly starts showing more.
that is so beautiful
