The sneaker trend was basically the best thing that has happened to motherhood, ever. As much as I love wearing heels and boots and even flats, sneakers are just the absolute best mom shoe. They're insanely comfortable, you can run and play and jump and chase after small children in them, they don't hurt your feet...they're just so great.

The lace up trend popped up early last year and instantly grabbed my attention. I love the detail it adds to a simple piece. I'm all about basics with a little twist, so this trend is right up my alley. I added it to this shift dress here, and this time I added to a basic sweatshirt.
