I can hardly believe April is almost over! Spring is officially here, and we’re even getting that first taste of summer heat. Here are some things I’ve been loving, we’re looking forward to, what I’m reading, and a few things I’ve been wearing or using on repeat.
What we’re doing:
- My oldest got his driver’s license this week! I cannot believe I have a child this old. He’s in the throws of golf tournaments for the high school golf team, and the tournaments are 30-45 minutes away, so we’re still driving him since he’s not quite comfortable navigating so far from home. I’m not mad about it actually because I love that one on one time with him in the car and I’ll miss it when it’s gone.
- I bought a car! I did a car shopping trip with The Car Mom a couple of months ago (we documented the whole thing here) and landed on the Escalade with the short wheel base. I’ve only had it for a few days, but I’m LOVING it!
- I just got back from a trip to Aspen, Colorado last week with the LTK Top 50 creators. It was inspiring, motivating, and exciting to hear all the updates in the industry and see what other creators are doing to grow and scale their businesses.
- It’s the season of birthdays for some of my best friends – three in a row – so we’re throwing parties and having girls nights, and those are always some of my favorite days.
- I’ve had a leg and foot injury for the past few months, so my workouts have been minimal. I signed up for the Move Together program from Madeline Moves – it’s a 5 week strength training program that includes receiving your own personal macro count, and support from Madeline herself. She’s a mom of three young kids, had c-sections, and is in incredible shape. If she can do it, anyone can! I’m excited to start next week.
- Started working on a new co-collection with one of my favorite brands – coming this fall and cannot wait to share!
What I’m wearing:
- This fabulous white tee. I’ve had it for 2 years and it still looks brand new, is the perfect not-too-boxy/not-too-fitted tee and isn’t see through at all. I’m ordering more colors. I wear a size x-small.
- I can’t get enough of this darling checkered crossbody bag – it adds a fun print to any basic outfit.
- My most versatile blue jeans now come in white! They run small in the white, so size up a full size (the blue is true to size).
- This dress is under $50 and will be the “it” dress of the summer. So versatile, so comfy, and so chic. I styled it four ways here.
What I’m buying:
- I started using this Vitamin C serum in my morning routine (just after washing and toning) and it gives you a gorgeous morning glow! My skin is loving it. It’s on 40% off sale right here. I’m stocking up while it’s on super sale!
- Chunky necklaces are huge for spring and summer and will go so well with basic tees and tanks. I just bought this one.
- I’ve been on the lookout for some colorful wide strap tank tops and just found this one for a steal. I bought a few colors to try.
- I just bought a new car for myself since my oldest turned 16 and is taking over my old car. I bought these photo cases to create a car console emergency kit – I’ll be adding hair ties, deodorant, baby wipes, aspirin, bandaids, and more. I’ll share when it’s all put together!
- I loved the chambray j.crew factory pants so much that I bought them in a few other colors! You can see the chambray pair here.
What I’m eyeing:
- These Summer Friday’s bronzing drops! Perfect for a little face color in the summer.
- A new version of the Tobie dress! Love the neckline and the floral print.
- Anyone else waking up at 3am to shop this collaboration drop??
- I own this hat in the black stripe version and really want the plain version, but it’s backordered!
What I’m reading:
- Just started this book. I watched the documentary last year and the book is just as hard to stomach.
- I finished this one last week. It was cute and sweet, and I couldn’t decide how I wanted it to end!
- Reading this aloud to the boys.
- Listening to this on audiobook with my 13 year old – we listen on the way to school and sports practice.
- Listening to this on audiobook with my 10 year old on the way to school. We’ve listened before, but this series is so good and absolutely worth a re-listen. The narrator is tremendous!
I’m planning to do one of these per month going forward so check back if you enjoyed it!
