Over the last year or so, I've worked really hard to create a closet full of pieces I absolutely love, that are a good mix of staples and trendy pieces, that fit me well, and will last me a long time. I've started making smarter purchases and a few "investment" purchases here and there, and then I did a closet sale and donated a bunch of things, so currently my closet is the best and most well-loved it's ever been. So when my sisters and I decided to do a closet favorite post today, I was stumped. I can honestly say I love every single piece in my closet, and I have about twenty favorites. So how about I show you just three of my current favorites, all in one outfit.
golden tote top, c/o
jcrew factory skirt (sold out, but similar here)
This lace top from Golden Tote has been in my closet for a few months now and it continues to be a favorite. I love wearing it with distressed denim for a casual look, or with a pencil skirt for a dressy look. It's slightly oversized, but fitted and structured enough so it works with both form fitting or full skirts. Plus it's so well made, and will definitely be a piece that will last me for years.
The eyelet pencil skirt was a recent purchase during a J.Crew factory sale, and I'm completely in love with it. It's so summery and fun, but will also be gorgeous for the winter with tights and boots. I have to stop myself from wearing it to church every single Sunday.
And third, these BCBG Paris sandals. I picked them up at DSW a month or two ago and they are really just the best. They're so comfortable, look great with sandals and jeans, and are just a fun and unexpected shoe choice.
The combination of the three was kind of an impulse combo, but I love the different textures working to create a really visually interesting color-blocked outfit!
