The best part about having your birthday fall on a weekend is that you can celebrate the entire weekend long. My actual birthday was on Saturday, but on Friday night, Leanne and Kayla and I had a girls night at a darling little Italian joint in LA (Leanne’s birthday was earlier in the week, and Kayla just announced she’s pregnant with baby #3 so we had all sorts of reasons to celebrate!). I got the Pappardelle al Fumo (amazing). Then we headed over to The Grove, picked up some Sprinkles cupcakes, and walked around. I’d never had Sprinkles before, but was eager to try them after all the hype. We got the Strawberry, Black and White, and Salty Caramel, and they did not disappoint. I’ll be dreaming about those cupcakes for a while.
On Saturday, Philip had signed us up to clean our church (not realizing that it would fall on my birthday), so I spent the morning scrubbing toilets. Lovely. But he made up for it by taking us out to breakfast afterward, and then sending me off for a pedicure during nap time. In the evening, Kayla watched the boys while we went to Duke’s for dinner. I got the filet mignon (my fave) and it also did not disappoint. Then we finished off the evening with a movie and bundt cake at home. A perfectly relaxing and fun birthday. Thank you for all of your sweet birthday wishes!
