Refashion 202

Back in December, I did a post that I called Refashion 101. It gave some of my basic tips for refashioning, how to get started, etc.

Well, now with eight additional months of refashioning under my belt, I feel like there is a lot more to add to that list.  So today I’m over at Modern Mom, talking about style on a budget, and more specifically, refashioning tips…. A.K.A. “Refashion 202.”

Head on over and check it out!

. . . . . . . . . . . .
Oh, and as you can see, I did a little blog makeover. There are still a few bugs that are being worked out, and should be taken care of very soon! Bare with me…I’m about as HTML illiterate as they come…
  • It looks great! I was trying to figure out last week on how to put my blog name and the link lists all on one line. So far it's been a fail. 😉 Maybe you can tell me how to do it sometime. xoxo

  • Ooooo! Love your new blog look!

  • I like your new look.

  • darling new layout, merrick!

  • Loved your post at Modern Mom! Its amazing how you think and turn a boring piece into an interesting trendy stuff without spending the extra bucks and not taking up extra closet space!

  • Very cute layout! Lookin' good!

  • MER! Your blog makeover is BOMB. I love the all-white look on blogs; its so fresh and clean! Nice job–I suck at HTML coding too but we're forced to learn if we want our bloggies to be pretty 🙂

Love this post! I still have the polka-dot DIY on my to-do list, and your sewing tutorials are so easy to follow that I can almost convince myself that I could sew without being a total spaz. But probably not 🙂

  • YOU make me want to learn how to sew!!!

  • Your blog looks amazing! I love the new layout!

  • Hey, I found you through Pinterest and just spent way too much time reading all of your refashions! 🙂 I have an 8 month old and I've been saving all of our old clothes to make some things for her but now I'm inspired to look at them again for myself! I'm very much a beginner, and still a little scared about sewing stretch knit fabric. But I feel much better using free old clothes 🙂

  • Hey, I posted the interview with you on my blog!

  • Meg

    love the new layout!

  • I love the boat neck refasion– But your "Wonderbread" shirt refashion is still my fav! I need to go hunting for good patterns at Good Will!

  • I'm curious if you have any great ideas on how to refashion maternity jeans/slacks into NON maternity…something (ANYTHING). I just received a HUGE load of a friends maternity clothes and lots of them are bottoms. I am pregnant now with my third and when I'm done I'd love to have something to do with all these clothes other than toss them because some of the fabrics are super cute and there are a ton of denim jeans but not everything is in nice enough condition to donate (seam wear, small stains, etc.). Please, help me refashion!!

  • just read your email. i'm going to have to pick up sewing for dummies i think…
